1896-97. Original green cloth boards with gilt cover and spine title and black floral decoration to covers; gilt top edges. Boards have almost no wear other than a very little to the top and bottom of the spines and just a few light marks, moreso to the rear board of Vol. 1. All 4 volumes remain firmly bound, however all are slightly shaken and the leaf containing the contents pages of Vol. 2 has become detached (though still present). All have light soiling / spotting to the outside edges of the textblock. Internally all remain very crisp, clean and bright with almost no foxing. The colour plates remain stunning with tissue guards remaining crisp, with the exception to a single plate from Vol. 1 whose tissueguard is seperated and creased. Overall a lovely and fairly well-preserved set of this scarce work.
